History of our Company:
Clear Track Ahead found its existence in a personal lifetime involvement with the railroad industry, a lengthy executive law enforcement career and experience in directing Emergency 911 Centers.
The founders of our company have a combined total of over 100 years direct experience working in the railroad, mapping, and the 911 law enforcement industries.
We have been trained with the leading GPS technology and mapping software. We create an essential mapping product, customized to your county/jurisdiction. It is easy to use and has all the information your Emergency Planners need.

As members of the NC Emergency Management Association, we take extra interest in the daily challenges and needs of Emergency Managers. Our custom GPS maps are an essential tool for the many counties we have served, which save time and resources for the counties using them.

Susan C. Cease
DEVELOPER OF G.I.S. & MAPPING TECHNOLOGY
Susan earned her Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University. She obtained a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from NC State University. Susan also pursued an education in Timble TerraSync & Pathfinder, NC Grade Crossing Inventory, and the Roadway Worker Protection Certificate, Part 214.
Susan is involved as a Board Member with Red Springs and Northern Railroads. She also holds membership with both the League of Railway Industry Women and the NC Emergency Management Association.
John H. Cease
LAW ENFORCEMENT & 911 CONSULTANT
John has extensive experience in both the Law Enforcement and Railroad industries. For 35 years, John found his career in Law Enforcement, 22 years as a Chief of Police. He directed three 9-1-1 Centers, and obtained a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University.
John has a lifelong family involvement in the railroad industry and has operated thousands of miles on railroad property. John is currently involved with providing US Department of Justice peer reviews with emergency services grants. He is a NARCOA Certified Track Inspection vehicle operator, an Operation Lifesaver Advocate & Participant, and has the Roadway Worker Protection Certificate, Part 214.
Local to Clear Track Ahead's NC office, John serves as Co-Chair of Rail Realignment of the City of Wilmington. He is also a member of the NC Emergency Management Association.
Stephen M. Timko
Pittsburgh, PA Office
Stephen has been dedicated to working in the Railroad industry throughout his entire life. He has 43 years of railroad operating experience, 24 years of Accident & Injury Investigation, and is a veteran employee of three Class One Railroads.
He has acquired the Safety Sensitive Training from the FRA (Federal Railroad Admin.), Engineer's Certification Part 240, Operating Rule Compliance Part 217, Drug & Alcohol Compliance Part 219, Hazardous Materials Security Part 172, and the Roadway Worker Protection Certificate Part 214. Stephen also is the owner and safety consultant of Beaver Valley Rail and was VP General Manager for a regional railroad.
